Founded in 2001, Steeplechase Productions with Playing French Seattle, a registered student organization of the University of Washington, stages plays by French playwrights, in French language and new works. Founded in 1990, Red Eagle Soaring toured its HIV/AIDS awarness play Story Circles to over 30 venues in Western U.S. and Canada, has produced three Celebration of the First Peoples showcases of Native talent; Cedars, a dramatization of contemporary Native poetry; and through its Youth Theatre Program has served over 150 Native teens with workshops, performance projects and mentoring.
