Book-It's Internship Program gives participants hands-on experience in the world of professional theatre.

Interns are mentored by Book-It staff members to help them increase their skills in their given areas and get practical experience in the theatre as a whole. Book-It seeks reliable, self-motivated, committed interns who have acquired basic skills in their area of interest but wish to enhance their learning, their resumes, and their experience.

These internships generally run from August/September to June during a production season. All internships are part-time and unpaid. Visit web page for deadlines and detailed instructions on how to apply. (N.B. Seattle Center Armory is the new name for the Center House)

Apprentices learn all aspects of running a theatre by working closely with core company members. The Apprenticeship begins in mid-August and runs through the end of June. Apprentices devote 40 hours/week to their specific craft: acting, design, directing, and stage management.

Acting work includes Movement (Suzuki & Viewpoints), Voice, Scene Study, Community Engagement, and Devising for Ensembles. Designers, a director and stage manager focus on a single year-long mentorship.

The program is free and has a small stipend. We offer free housing once accepted into the program. Applications close mid-April and selections are made in May. Apply using the online form on their web page.
