You can support a show by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Running box office for a night<\/li>\n<li>Helping build a set or sew costumes for a few hours<\/li>\n<li>Tending bar (we can help you get a bartending license!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can help with the show directly by:<\/p>\n<p><em>Acting in a show<\/em> \u2014 Annex holds auditions for every production. Join their backstage list, through which you\u2019ll be notified about impending auditions.<\/p>\n<p><em>Designing for a show<\/em> \u2014 Every production needs a set designer, a lighting designer, a costume designer, a sound designer, and more. If you have skills in this area and would like to be considered for an upcoming show, contact Annex Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joining the production crew<\/em> \u2014 Less visible than the actors but just as crucial are the production crew: Stage managers, technical operators, backstage crew, and often more. Aside from the stage manager, this is often a smaller commitment than acting or designing, and can be an excellent way for the less experienced to learn new skills and make connections.<\/p>\n<p><em>Proposing a Project to Annex Theatre<\/em> \u2014 Every spring, Annex Theatre chooses its production slate for the following year. In late April, a Request For Proposals (RFP) is made available on the website and elsewhere. Proposals can be for a scripted play; for a work in development; for an ensemble-generated who-knows-what; or anything else that sounds compelling and you think you can persuade the Annex Company\u2014the body of artists and technicians who make Annex Theatre function\u2014to produce.
