After touring the world as Carter Family Marionettes, Chris and Stephen Carter founded Northwest Puppet Center in 1986. Carter Family Marionettes have been featured performers at Puppet Festivals from Scotland to Uzbekistan. Their work has thrice been awarded \u201cThe Citation of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry\u201d by the American Chapter of Union International de la Marionette, a member group of UNESCO.
