Founded in 1983, Mt. Baker Theatre produces plays and musicals and is also a road house for traveling productions. The Mount Baker Theatre building was originally completed in 1927, and stands today as a perfect example of the movie palaces of the 1920s and 30s. Performance spaces include the 1509 seat mainstage, the Harold and Irene Walton Theatre (a black-box performance space), and the Encore Room (an intimate space perfect for small performances).
