Broadway Rose offers many volunteer opportunities throughout the year and would love for you to be involved.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, attend the required orientation training and have an email account. Visit website for detailed list of volunteer requirements.

Performance Volunteers. During productions, performance volunteers assist staff in the lobby and see the show for free! Performance volunteers usher, serve concessions, sell raffle tickets and souvenirs, and pick up programs after the show. These volunteers are the ambassadors of Broadway Rose and a public face of the company.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities. Besides ushering, Broadway Rose often has several other volunteer opportunities. These include special events, office assistance, mailings, and cleaning parties. Volunteering for Oregon Children’s Theare can be fun, rewarding, and educational. As a volunteer, you will be supporting OCT in its mission to provide exceptional theater experiences for young audiences.

OCT seeks volunteers to help with a variety of tasks throughout each season. Volunteer duties range from helping out in the office to directing school groups as they arrive at the theater, or selling merchandise at OCT family shows on the weekends. The time commitment and hours of work for volunteers will vary, depending on your interest and availability.

Much of the work of Portland Actors Ensemble is done by volunteers who believe that free Shakespeare is worth some of their time. PAE’s board of directors, staff, talented graphic designer, several wonderful photographers all volunteer to help make PAE work.

Portland Center Stage occasionally accepts new volunteer ushers. Ushers play an integral role in ensuring that PCS’s patrons have an outstanding theater experience. PCS seeks dedicated and outgoing people to assist in various ways before, during, and after performances. It’s a great way to show your support for Portland theater plus you get to see each show for free.

Additional volunteer opportunities available by joining a PCS volunteer committee. Volunteer committees provide a wide range of opportunities that allow you utilize existing skills while gaining new experiences. The Profile Theatre Guild: Guild volunteers encourage greater community participation with and support for the Theatre, and serve as ambassadors to promote the Theatre to patrons and performers. Each season, over 700 volunteers donate nearly 35,000 hours, working in various departments at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. These departments included, but were not limited to, the Tudor Guild Gift Shop and the Allen Elizabethan, Bowmer, and Thomas Theatres.

Tudor Guild Volunteer Organization. Tudor Guild was established in 1948 as a volunteer organization with the purpose of providing financial support and service to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In 1952 it incorporated as a non-profit organization. The Tudor Guild staffs the volunteers in the Tudor Guild Gift Shop, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s official gift shop located “on the bricks” across from the entrance to the Angus Bowmer Theatre.
