Founded in 1986, Annex Theatre produces new scripted plays, radical re-interpretations of the classics, devised performances, spectacles, and more. Annex runs monthly cabarets Spin the Bottle (every 1st Friday) and Weird & Awesome with Emmett Montgomery (every 1st Sunday).

Also, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Annex hosts small productions called “Off Nights.”

Outsiders Inn produces 1 (new works and/or contemporary plays and forgotten classics) per season, focusing on small casts plays, 3 to 7 actors with the scale weighted towards women.

Rehearsals are held on weekday evenings and weekend days (usually Friday thru Monday) for 4 to 5 weeks. Performances are Friday and Saturday and Sundays.

Founded in 2013 with a successful Kickstarter campaign, The Pocket Theater produces fringe theater in two venues: a 50-seat theater in Greenwood and the 40-60 seat Slate Theater in the Inscape Arts building in the International District.  (the old Immigration Jail)

PT foots the bill for up and coming producers and they impress with truly unique and fun shows. Performances happen every week Thursday – Sunday.

Classes happen all week long. Plus, rehearsal space is available at a competitive rate when it’s not being used otherwise.

Operating on Capital Hill since 2004, Washington Ensemble Theatre produces 3 contemporary shows “never seen” in Seattle, per season, with an ensemble of trained actors and designers.

The Ensemble attends the annual TPS United General Auditions each February and has in-house Ensemble General Auditions every other August on odd years. The Ensemble General Auditions are non-Equity and open to the public, but space is limited and appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Auditions for mainstage shows and workshops are reserved by invitation only. To be considered for future auditions, please send a hardcopy of your headshot and resume to the attention of Leah Pfenning at the Ensemble’s mailing address. Founded in 2001, Northwest Senior Theatre is a group of singers, dancers, actors, musicians and production folks who still thoroughly enjoy performing despite being 55 and older.

NWST develops two major shows each year and present four performances of each at the Alpenrose Dairy Opera House in May and November. Each show is complete with costumes, scenery, choreography, and music. NWST also develops touring shows of various lengths to perform in local venues.
