The American Guild of Variety Artists is an AFL-CIO-affiliated labor union founded in 1939 to represent performing artists and stage managers for live performances in the variety field.
AGVA serves singers and dancers in touring shows and non-book theatrical revues, theme park and circus performers, skaters, comedians and stand-up comics, cabaret and club artists, lecturers, poets, monologists, spokes-persons, and variety performers working at private parties and special events.
