The Northwest Playwright Alliance, a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to the production, growth, and fellowship of playwrights and other theatre artists in our region. NWPA meets the second Monday of the month at 7 PM at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. The Northwest Playwrights Alliance hires actors for readings and operates under an AEA Special Appearance Agreement.

Hugo House was founded in 1997 as a center for local writers and readers to find a community and create new works.  Hugo House offers classes, events, and residencies year round and commissions new work in its Literary Series. Richard Hugo House is the third largest writing center in the country after The Loft in Minneapolis and The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Founded in 1996, WARP is a multdisciplinary performing arts collective curating and producing new works for theatre.

WARP is composed of playwrights, actors, and other people who are interested in theatre production. The group is open to everyone from seasoned professional to those with little experience. WARP meets every Tuesday night from 7 – 9 pm, at the Armory Building of the Seattle Center. In addition to weekly meetings, WARP produces several shows a year using material written, directed and performed by participants. Call announced on Facebook and website.
